After a 12 hour bumpy ferry we find ourselves driving into Devonport, our first stop in Tassie. We don't last long until we head to Forth to a free campsite for the night.
The next morning we make the decision about which way we are going, east or west. Due to the bush fires on the west coast we decide to try and soak up a little more summer on the east.
Our first stop is Waterhouse Conservation Area for a few days before we get blown to our next location - the Bay of Fires.
Did you know the bay of fires is named not because of the orange colour on the rocks but because an explorer saw a lot of fires from the bay from the Aboriginal people when it was first discovered.
We also celebrated Matts birthday here and then set off to explore the area.
