1/2 kg of mixed friuts like raisins, dates, cherry, tutti fruiti, candied orange peel, candied ginger, chopped into small pieces and soak them in rum/brandy and sugar caramel. Mix well, store in a dry, air tight bottle and add few pieces of cinnamon sticks. Make sure there is no water content in the bottle. This fruit mix can store at room temperature. This fruits mix can be used after a week for making cakes. This fruits can be stored up to one year.
Ingredients for fruit cake:
All purpose flour/maida
butter
eggs
powdered sugar
allspice powder/ cinnamon powder, cloves powder, nutmeg powder
baking powder
orange marmalade
sugar caramel
vanilla essence
soaked fruit mix
cake seeds
cashew nuts
