Speaking to ANI, New Delhi DCP Devesh Mahla said the police force will make full use of cutting-edge technology to ensure a safe and secure event.

The AI-powered glasses are designed to identify wanted individuals even if they attempt to conceal their identity using masks, caps, makeup, beards, or altered hairstyles. Operating on an offline system, the technology relies on advanced algorithms to match facial features in real time, helping police quickly spot potential threats without depending on internet connectivity.

As part of the heightened security arrangements, authorities will implement three layers of physical checks for pedestrians, along with similar multi-level screening for vehicles entering sensitive zones. The integration of AI tools with traditional security measures aims to strengthen crowd monitoring, prevent unlawful activities, and ensure smooth conduct of the national event.
