Have you ever tried to stitch a hummingbird? I love stitched birds and I think the cheesecloth adds just the right amount of fluff. It looks like soft feathers on the bird’s belly. I’ll try dying some cheesecloth in different colours for when I stitch birds in the future.


To make it easy, I cut a standard sheet of felt in 4 pieces so no measuring required. They are just shy of 6” x 4.5” or 15cm x 11cm.
