How to remove and replace the alternator on a 2011 Renault Modus 1.5 DCI
The general process should be similar for the 1.2 and 1.6 petrol versions, i would expect the alternator to be in a similar location, possibly easier to get to as they would lack the boost pipes of the turbo diesel.
The modus is compact car with a compact engine bay, this video basically follows what the renault service manual recommends for removing the alternator. It is a bit more work than some other cars but at the same time there is nothing overly difficult along the way.
