I began this illustration by setting a vintage-toned background and vase,
creating a quiet structure before the flowers appeared.

In this 3-minute floral illustration process,
I explored peonies and chrysanthemums for the first time in Procreate.
Both flowers are dense, layered, and unapologetically complex,
requiring patience to find a sense of order within their abundance.
As the composition developed,
a cat entered the scene, grooming in an entirely ungraceful pose.
Elegant flowers on one side,
everyday indifference on the other.
Above them, a hand pauses,
about to place a slipper orchid into the vase,
capturing a moment just before completion.
Some things are carefully arranged.
Some things are just being cats.
This drawing process is a quiet observation of contrast,
where refinement and real life exist side by side.
