Get to know our four levels of automation for your pouring device. This makes your pouring process more effective and improves the quality.
No Upgrade - Manual pouring (0:00 – 0:11)
The pourTECH™ manual pouring system for molten metal operates on molding lines. The Operator controls the flow of molten iron from the nozzle into the mold by opening and closing the stopper. He will position the pouring unit with the nozzle over the mold’s pouring cup. By joystick, he will open and close the stopper manually with the supplied hydraulic stopper system. This can also be applied to tilt pouring systems.
Upgrade to 30% - Semi-automatic pouring (0:11 – 0:33)
The semi-automatic pourTECH™ system (Teach-In) includes a stopper rod actuator unit, operated by servo drives, including necessary electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic hardware and control systems. The operator controls the flow of molten iron from the nozzle into the mold by opening and closing the stopper with a joystick. The control system can be taught to repeat the operators’ inputs exactly. The PLC will repeat the cycle until a new cycle will be taught (e.g. pattern change).
Upgrade to 60% - Automatic pouring (0:33 – 0:54)
In addition to the hardware of the Teach-In System, the automatic pourTECH™ system includes laser technology and additional software (inoTECH™, FORCEpour™ and pourTECH™ Database). The operator observes the pouring process during the complete cycle from his operator desk. The PLC controls the flow of molten iron from the nozzle into the mold by using the specific parameters for each individual pattern. It adjusts the pouring to optimally match the programmed parameter.
Upgrade to 100% - Intelligent pouring (0:54 – 1:18)
The intelligent pourTECH™ system is the state of the art automatic pouring system. Its software is enhanced artificial intelligence called EASYpour™. It controls and optimizes the pouring cycle by itself and communicates with the molding line. For the process itself, the operator is not needed. The PLC controls the flow of molten iron from the nozzle into the mold by adjusting the specific parameter for each individual pattern to get the best possibly result.
