Great Langdale to Elterwater circular walk ¦ Lake District ¦ Cumbria

Описание: Join us on this video for a relatively level walk in the stunning Langdale Valley. The walk could be started from anywhere along the circuit, but we set out from the National Trust Campsite at Great Langdale. The route takes us down the Langdale Valley via paths and tracks to Elterwater, where we take a spur out along a pathway to a stunning viewpoint over the lake, looking back towards the Langdale Pikes.
Our return route sticks closer to Great Langdale Beck, but does take you past both the New Dungeon Ghyll and Old Dungeon Ghyll pubs on the final leg, if you are ready for some refreshment!
We measured the route at between 10 and 11 miles, and there are few if any hills, and just a couple of tall stiles to contend with. So a great walk if you prefer something more on the level or perhaps on a recovery day after the higher fells!
