Malaysian cuisine is an amazing fusion of flavors. In Kuala Lumpur, Most of the food comes from the Malays, Chinese and Indians that have made KL their home. Today we’ll visit Kampung Baru for some traditional Malay food, Brickfields, the Little India of KL, the Jalan Alor Night Market and we’ll stop off at my favorite Mamak restaurant.

Mamak restaurants have affordable food with a casual, open-air dining atmosphere. Many of them have a cafe appearance, being well lit and furnished with stainless steel tables.

Brickfields is known as Kuala Lumpur's Little India due to the high percentage of Indian residents and businesses.
From shopping for traditional Indian goods to historically rich temples, Brickfields is worth a visit
Brickfields is home to KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur's main public transportation hub, so it’s easy to get to.
I ate at a nice Indian restaurant and ordered chicken briyani with a mint and lime juice. The briyani was 17 Ringgit and the juice was 8 Ringgit.
