Serial Killer Documentary: Charles "Smitty" Schmid

Описание: Charles Howard Schmid Jr., also known as the Pied Piper of Tucson, was an American serial killer whose crimes were detailed by journalist Don Moser in an article featured in the March 4, 1966, issue of Life magazine. He was convicted of murdering three teenage girls: Gretchen Fritz, Wendy Kohler Fritz, and Alleen Rowe. The murders occurred between 1964 and 1965. He was known for bizarre affectations: heavy makeup, dyed hair, fake beauty marks, lifts in his boots, and a fabricated “cool” image. Schmid was eventually sentenced to death, later commuted after changes in death penalty law. In 1975, he was murdered by fellow inmates in Arizona State Prison Complex in Florence.
