Positioned within the AceMicromatic Group ecosystem, Sinar’s display had a definite emphasis on automation, intuitive controls, and homegrown engineering.

The first was the LCM 3015, a 6kW laser cutting machine that blends global components with indigenous innovation. Powered by an IPG laser source and FANUC controller, the machine’s standout feature is its completely in-house developed front end and user interface. “We’ve built this user interface (UI) by listening closely to operators, industry users, and even competitors,” Dr Laxmikant Kannappan explained, noting that its homegrown architecture allows the company to quickly customize features for diverse shopfloor needs.

Moving to bending, he highlighted a 100-ton, 3-meter press brake paired with a FANUC robot. Instead of complex controls, Sinar has deliberately opted for a simple, entry level controller. “The idea is to let the robot handle the automation, without overcomplicating the operator’s job,” he said. The walkthrough concluded with a FANUC welding cobot—the CWM-6 Cobot MIG Welding System—integrated with a MIG welding source, designed to lower the barrier to automation, and it comes with an easy-to-teach pendant ‘as simple as using an iPad’.
