In Kanyakumari or Nagercoil Paruppu curry is served as the first curry recipe in lunch menu with white rice. Then follows sambar, rasam and moar. My family kids are always fond with this Kalyana Veetu Paruppu kulambu as it is less spicy and tasty too.
