Its century! Pragan Rover traverses over 100 meters on Moon’s south pole

Описание: Days after the successful soft landing of Chandaryaan 3, Pragyan rover has traversed over 100 meters. Taking to X, ISRO shared the information and said the rover traversed over 100 meters and continuing. Earlier on August 31, rover was seen rotating in search of a safe route on the surface of the moon. ISRO shared the first observation from the ChaSTE payload onboard Vikram Lander. ChaSTE measured the temp profile of lunar topsoil around the pole, to understand the thermal behaviour of moon’s surface. Notably, ISRO also launched its maiden solar mission ‘Aditya-L1’ from Sriharikota on September 02. ‘Aditya-L1’ is India’s first space-based Indian observatory mission to study the Sun. Spacecraft is carrying 7 payloads to observe the photosphere, chromosphere, and outermost layers of Sun. The total travel time from the launch pad to L1 will take about four months for ‘Aditya-L1’.
