The Mobile Cyclist is a web-based TV series that covers a wide variety of bicycling culture, lifestyle and travel. This is the 1st episode of the show..!
As host of the Mobile Cyclist, host Anthony Barr travels across the US finding the best cycling destinations, bike shops and bicycling hot spots across the country. He visits bike shops, explores bicycle trails, and visits the best bicycling friendly businesses in each city and more!

In this episode we travel to Mammoth Lakes California, home of Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort and Mountain Bike Park. We hit the flow trails and slide along on the pumice lined paths of this amazing mountain bike mecca. Mammoth Mountain is located on the Eastern edge of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. During the off season, the mountain transforms to one of the best mountain biking destinations in the US. The chair lifts are crowded with mountain bikers looking to get their kicks on the amazing downhill sections of this high country beauty.

We picked up our rental bikes from Footloose Sports located in the village at the base of the mountain range. Our pal Matt primed my MTB suspension, gave me some handling tips and had me out the door in not time.

Afterwards we stopped in at Mammoth Brewing Company to sample some of the mountain bike and cycling crowd favorites including the Epic IPA and the Real McCoy, named after the founder of Mammoth Mountain, Dave McCoy.
