Often times plants will be transplanted during the vegetative phase to encourage top growth and maximize space.
The amount of times this is done and what size containers are used are mainly grower dependent.
If you are transplanting and changing lighting be sure to allow time for the plants to transition to reduce the chance of damaging the plant.
