Overview: Is student retention a "people" problem or a "policy" problem? In this Military Friendly® deep dive, we open the blueprints of top-performing schools to decode the infrastructure that makes high retention rates possible for military-connected students.
Join our host, Kayla Lopez, as she sits down with the University of Tennessee's Thomas Cruise (Director of the Veterans Success Center) and Kevin Ho (President of the Student Veterans of America chapter) to discuss the real-world policies that drive higher student outcomes and greater satisfaction.
Retention is the Critical Metric for Sustainable Growth.
Military students face unique friction points: bureaucracy, funding delays, and operational disruptions like deployments. If the university policy is rigid, the student breaks. If the policy is agile, the student stays.
We’ll be Using Military Friendly® School Survey Data to Explore:
Federal Programs that help move the needle.
Leveraging policies that lead to higher student outcomes and greater student satisfaction.
Recognizing the unique challenges of military lifestyle and providing solutions.
