David Cruz looks at the issue of segregation in New Jersey schools from the latest on the lawsuit challenging the long history of racial inequality in our schools to the remedies put forward by lawmakers as well as what other states have done. Patrick Wall, Senior Reporter, Chalkbeat Newark and Elise Boddie, director and founder of The Inclusion Project at Rutgers Univ. & Professor at Rutgers Law School who has worked with NAACP New Jersey State Conference on the issue of school segregation join Cruz to discuss.
Then, Melissa Walker from Jazz House Kids discusses the state of jazz education and Jazz House alumni & now teachers Birsa Chatterjee & Galo Inga perform an original composition.
