In Pakistan only living related kidney transplant is being done. It is the best treatment once someone develop ESRD. There are several commonly asked questions about it and people have different points of view. I have tried to answer all those questions one by one based on evidence. This will help people and increase awareness about kidney transplantation. This time I have provided Urdu subtitles for audiences to understand more clearly.
Finding a willing living kidney donor is an alternative to waiting for a compatible deceased-donor kidney to become available.
Family members are often the most likely to be compatible living kidney donors. But successful living-donor transplants are also common with kidneys donated from unrelated people, such as friends, co-workers or religious congregation members.But as per PHOTA law this is not acceptable in Pakistan.
