Part 2 of my series on the GMC RV brakes! If your rear brake lines look old they probably are! Don’t risk loosing a brake line and putting your stopping power at risk!
The rear brake lines are a specialty part on the GMC and often go neglected. New ones can be sourced from all major GMC parts stores - I am using stainless brake lines from Jim Bounds at the GMC Co-Op in Orlando Florida.
Make sure to use plenty of penetrating lubricant and line-wrench style wrenches, these parts see alot of road grime and easily can seize up. If your brake lines don’t want to budge, try using a torch and slowly working them back and forth.
