This is one of my absolute favorite tracks from Octopath (of which there are admittedly many...)! The ostinato and dense but faint harmonies in this piece give it a light, ethereal kind of sound that makes you feel like you're in a dream. At the same time, the mechanical rhythm and bass hits ground the song and give it a heavy sense of import. I won't spoil anything from the game, but this feel suits the in-game location perfectly.
I normally try to avoid writing duets because most pianists including myself play solo, but this is one track that is perfectly laid out for a duet on one piano. Everything is cleanly laid out here - from bottom to top: bass, ostinato, harmony, melody. Both parts are easy to play yet still interesting.
