The firepit crackles in front, flames licking the stones with lazy sparks. A pot sits close, waiting for coffee or stew, though nobody here seems in a rush to cook. It’s less about the meal, more about the mood.
Beyond it, a pond glimmers cattails swaying in the light breeze.
