-- A Brief Note on Pronunciation --
There is no reliable source for Pokémon pronunciations; "official" sources are inconsistent. Where possible, I have painstakingly researched the general consensus among the fanbase. Even so, there are many cases where fans are divided as to the proper or more natural-sounding pronunciation of a name, and I have had to resort to personal judgment. Typically, I defer to the root words from which the names are derived, even if they contradict "official" pronunciation sources (eg Milotic; Ferroseed); however, there are many exceptions where a different pronunciation seems preferable (eg pronouncing Charizard like "lizard" or Blastoise like "tortoise" would sound awkward).
