In the new DLC, Primarina is back and it has the fantastic new options Flip Turn and Psychic Noise. Not only this, that Water/Fairy typing feels more valuable now than ever, allowing it to effectively check many common threats such as Darkrai, Iron Valiant, Walking Wake and Gouging Fire.

The player "LandorusTBeatsGreatTusk" saw potential in Primarina and managed to achieve an impressive #8 position on Gen 9 OU's ladder. This creative anti-meta pick has served them well.
