An introduction to the HuFTM Flying Bedstead modelling competition being held and organised jointly by the Hucknall Flight Test Museum ( HuFTM ) and the Rolls-Royce Hucknall Model Aircraft Club. Email [email protected] with your name and country / UK county to enter.
The official title of the Rolls-Royce Flying Bedstead was the Rolls-Royce Thrust Measuring Rig, or TMR and this HuFTM Flying Bedstead modelling competition is for international scale modellers to recreate a flying scale model of the original aircraft which explored VSTOL flight and developed into the famous Hawker Harrier aircraft. The original Flying Bedstead now resides in The Science Museum, London.
