STEP BY STEP Winterizing an RV travel trailer//Jayco 2020 Travel Trailer

Описание: In this video I walk through the steps of winterizing my daughters 2020 Jayco Jayflight Travel Trailer RV. This travel trailer came equipped from the factory with a winterizing valve installed on the inlet side of the water pump.

Steps to winterize an RV using RV/Marine Antifreeze.
1. Drain Fresh Water from the RV
2. Remove the plug from the hot water heater
3. Turn bypass valves to bypass the water heater
4. Turn valve near water pump inlet line to allow antifreeze to be siphoned from a jug. (not all RVs are equipped with this, a winterization kit may need to be installed, these kits can be purchased on amazon, or at most RV parts stores.
5. Put siphon hose into antifreeze jug.
6. Beginning with faucet furthest from the water pump, open hot water line and turn on the pump, wait for antifreeze to flow from faucet. Then open cold line faucet. Once this is complete, move to the next water source in the RV and repeat. (Do not forget to winterize the toilet, or any outside faucets)
7. Pour some additional antifreeze in each drain to ensure antifreeze is located in the P-Traps.
8. Turn Siphon valve back to original position.
9. Reinstall the water heater plug.
10. When flushing with fresh water in the spring, do not forget to turn the water bypass valves back to original position.
