Over 190 rape suspects have been arrested nationwide, this past week. SAPS says this is part of its 90-day Blitz operation to combat Gender Based Violence. Ninety six suspects were apprehended for rape and 13 suspects for sexual offences across multiple provinces, in the operation to protect women and children in South Africa. Police say one of the suspects who have been arrested in the operation targeted women between the ages of 15 and 55.
