Bookworms are a general term for any insect that burrows into books leaving small holes and paper fibre dust behind. The beetle I showcase here is the larder beetle or carpet beetle, a very common species through the world. The larvae stage of the this beetle does most of the damage to books or other organic items which I cover in the narration.
