In this video you'll see how I make permanent metal plant labels. You cut them to any size you want and fold the edges under so it's not sharp. I'll show you how to do this, write the plant name and date and how to punch a hole in it. I'll show you the types of metal I bought online.
If you can get a big aluminum foil food pan, the kind caterers use, even that could be cut into labels. And though I've not tried it yet, if you don't like the labels shiny, try buffing them with fine steel wool before you write on them.
Let me know if you try making some and leave me a comment about how you did it and other ideas you might have!

Welcome to my channel! I'm an American artist from NY now living in a beautiful part of the UK, the Scottish Borders! Join me as I show my latest art projects in painting, illustration and one of a kind needle felted characters. I also spend a lot of time in the garden where my husband and I are putting in brand new beds for vegetables, flowers and a new fruit orchard. Or we go for walks exploring the gorgeous hills around us, always stopping to study nature up close.
I'm always busy creating something new like hand-made soaps, healthy treats or general DIY stuff!
