Second time lucky?!

Описание: Overall unfortunately it wasn’t 2nd time lucky for us and we won’t be attempting a third.

This place has lots of potential and I’m sure many enjoy it - but unfortunately for us it just didn’t hit the mark and it’s a no. Whilst it had some fantastic highs for us it was plagued with too many lows.

It was Chaos - which we knew it would be, but this was next level. Unfortunately staff didn’t really seem to know what was happening and clearly didn’t communicate with each other. All they said was that they were understaffed today - this was clear!

A 2 hour wait for pizza and chips -
The place was crowded - it was a “ram as many in as possible” kind of day.
And it showed, Particularly as after already having an hour and 15 minute wait for food (which no one was aware of) we were told it would be another 20-25 minutes to then have another member of the team say literally over the first staff member “no you shouldn’t have been told that yours will be next out”. But it wasn’t.
Many other orders came out but not ours and after my husband enquired again we were simply offered a free drink and told it wouldn’t be “too long”
It was chaos and a 2 hour wait for pizza and chips isn’t really acceptable - clearly staff were overwhelmed.

You can bring your own food - but you can’t eat it inside (there’s signs up saying this - however so many ignored the signs and did anyway!)
There’s loads of seating outside but again if it’s raining not much of that is undercover.

Activities were unfortunately a massive disappointment - particularly meet the machines (self guided) it sounded wonderful (Brianna loves vehicles and all that) but when we went to check it out, it was just a bunch of hay bales and worn ride on tractor toys!

Meet the chicks was an unexpected surprise as when we walked into the room she was asked if she’d like to stroke it - Brianna was hesitant but enjoyed this when it was quieter (which wasn’t long!) and then it was just get as many children as you can to gather round to stroke them which felt super uncomfortable and nothing was said by the staff member facilitating it. (One of the reasons we were given a return ticket was to show that they don’t always do this with their Animals and what we witnessed with their donkey grooming experience about a month ago was a one off - today gave us proof that unfortunately it’s not a one off)

We were offered another return ticket which we declined. We were also offered a return ticket for pumpkin picking which we were told if we wanted to do that we needed to do it early as all of them had already matured - we declined this also.

I’m sure this place has made many families so happy. And we did enjoy SOME aspects here. However unfortunately it’s just not for us and we won’t be returning.
