This video illustrates the easiest way to tip your sailboat so you can access and repair your sailboat's centerboard line. We are using the main halyard line to pull and tip the sailboat on it's side. You won't bend your sailboat mast. The mast is designed to handle force from your main sheet while sailing.

Somebody also mentioned we could have tied to a tree versus holding the line. There is no Marina on Minneapolis Chain Of Lakes Regional Park. This video was recorded on Lake Nokomis. There is no Marina or boat lift on Lake Harriet or Bde Maka Ska or similar resources on any of the public lakes in Minneapolis. I published this guide as alternative to using a service in a boat yard which can be expensive. It's also safer than trying to elevate your sailboat off your trailer with wood stands.
