Course Vlog #98 @ Cherry Creek Golf Club (feat. Blazin’ Hazen!): Earn It, Don’t Expect It

Описание: We’ve returned to Metro-Detroit, and the summer 2023 golf Vlog season is officially ON! This was a round I played between my semester ending and my internship in Mt. Pleasant starting on May 9th, 2023. While in town I got a hold of Nate and he was able to play on this day and man was it good to see him again. He’s been killing it at Grand Valley State and plays for their club golf team (their #4 player out of 12). As of this day he was a 2.3 handicap and it was tough to keep up with him. He’s the one who recommended this course to me and I must say, I was VERY impressed. For $50, I got to play an incredibly maintained layout with greens running at an 11, stunning views on many holes that just highlighted every little inflection in the terrain, and a course that had carts with GPS. Incredible. I will definitely be making a return trip.

It’s very likely that that return trip will be an attempt to redeem my misadventures that I may have today. Even from 6323 yards, this course is a 71.0 Rating/136 Slope. There are a lot of shots with nearly blind hazards that I didn’t even know were there until I arrived at my next shot, and out of bounds comes into play on 6 holes. It’s not an easy course to score on. Nonetheless, I’m fresh of PASSING MY PLAYING ABILITY TEST WITH A 156 (78-78) for 36 holes at Katke GC that took place on April 30th, so I’m on top of my game right now. This is not out of the question.

I’m planning on posting a highlight video from the P.A.T. as my dad caddied for me and took some videos. That will probably be out sometime close to when my Fall semester starts.
