Today I woke up to see DeviantArt had responded to the backlash from the artist community after the debut of their new DreamUp AI bot. Their response is not an ideal outcome but this is a step in the right direction. It doesn't solve the issue of DreamUp using Stable Diffusion's dataset to create AI using art scraped from the open web, which includes art taken from DeviantArt.
