Описание: Our Snowcat 1972 Thiokol Imp 1401 Sno-cat We call it "The Thing" It was used in a few tv shows & movies - The most famous being - John Carpenters 1982 "The Thing" . It had been beat up by film crews - hadn't moved in years and needed some repairs and parts and some TLC. We cleaned out the engine - rebuilt the carb, points, wires, cleaned out all oil, brake, transmission and hydraulic lines, adjusted all the linkage, installed some new wiper motors, new hydraulics and rewired a bit to clean it up. Built a new exhaust that runs to the rear of the snocat, instead of beside the passenger door. Mechanically and functionally its working, but still running pretty rough..The engine is an old Ford V4-104 It was abused by its former owners - getting it back in shape will take some time. next step is the interior..maybe a radio - or a stereo! ...maybe dodeckaphonic! Now has new brakes and repacked bearings, and a few new track guides. Meanwhile,we have the coolest snowplow in the Country! and it could be yours!
