This video takes you step by step how to paint the North Face of the Eiger in Grindlewald, Switzerland. I was there many years ago and just loved it. I still remember the cows with bells, the neatly stacked timer with straight ends and the green! Just magical!

I used cerulean blue, a mix of light red and cobalt blue for the mountain, hookers green mixed with a bit of cobalt blue for the trees and the light red/cobalt blue mix for the shadows and then a mix of green in the foreground that I can't remember! sorry!

It was painted on Arches 300gsm cold pressed, medium paper and it was painted using my round pure kolinsky sable, a flat nylon and a very small series 7 winsor and newton round sable.

Rives BFK etching paper. Probably best to source this from your local store so you can look after the paper and not have it posted unless you are buying a large amount of paper and it will be looked after.
