Rory Stewart asks why UK government is still aiding Israel

Описание: In a recent episode of The Rest is Politics podcast, former politician and commentator Rory Stewart asked why the UK is still supporting Israel’s military operations in Gaza despite government officials ramping up their criticism of the Israeli government.

Pointing to the UK’s training for Israeli soldiers and Royal Air Force flights over Gaza, Stewart criticised Foreign Secretary David Lammy for failing to align his actions with his outspokenness in parliament earlier this year.

It comes shortly after the pair, considered to be in the centre of Britain’s political spectrum, called Israel’s war on Gaza a genocide for the first time.
