I Played Geometry Dash 1.0

Geometry Dash was released on August 13th, 2013, with extremely humble beginnings. Looking at how the game has evolved today, it's hard to look at version 1.0 and fathom of it as the same game as 2.2. This is real though! 2013 was truly a simpler time.

After all the old version private servers I have played on over the years, I finally gave the 1.0 GDPS a shot. The server is quieter now than it ever has been in its nearly 5-year long history; its anniversary is coming up in November; but I had a ton of fun playing it, and had a helluva grind becoming the first victor of its top 1 demon, an impressive 1.0 demake of the infamous old impossible level Stereo Demoness.

I hope to see this server have a resurgance, especially because there's seemingly always a corner of the community with a vested interest in 1.0 levels - especially now that, in 2.2, classic 1.0 levels are getting rated consistently for the first time in who knows how long!!! The 1.0 GDPS is a fun blast to the past, and if you give it a shot I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I have!
