The bees landed 20 feet or so off the ground. Normally I wouldn't worry with this project. There is no good way to shake them into a sack, no way to put a hive body up close to them, dangerous, etc.
The featured Bee Vac is the perfect solution. Now, there are a lot of improvements I can make in the two bucket system,, and will. But this one was super cheap, lightweight, and it works.
I was able to hang the two buckets in the tree and the hose was long enough. Using a stiff vacuum hose opens up the possibility of going most jobs from the ground.
This is perfect for bee removal from a house. I did one last year with this same setup.
