Hello, dear ones — friends of faeries, witchlings, and creative spirits ✨
Welcome to Part I of this Water Faerie watercolor tutorial.
In this slow, process-focused studio vlog, I begin painting a Water Faerie from the first layers of watercolor. I share my thoughts on water symbolism and emotional connection, discuss materials and layering techniques, and explain why I approach faerie illustration the way I do.
I also take a moment to share Good Faeries / Bad Faeries by Brian Froud, a beloved book that continues to inspire my fantasy artwork.
This is the beginning of a two-part watercolor process where we build the painting gradually and intentionally.
At the end of the video, I step outside to share a small woodworking project and invite your suggestions on transforming an old wooden bin enclosure into something that fits within my faerie garden beside the studio.
