How to make a floating bed in your Van Build - Ep 3 |

Описание: One of the biggest decisions when building a van is whether to go with a fixed bed, or a bed that converts to a seating area. We knew from the beginning that we wanted a fixed bed so we didn't have to make up the bed every night, and pack it away every morning.

We also knew that we needed to have a LOT of room under the bed, for our garage, where our Mountain Bikes and Kiteboarding gear would go, in fact, we designed our entire van build around our "toys".

We hadn't seen a bed built like this before, with no frame. Our "floating" bed frame is all behind the walls, and the beauty of this bed, is that not only don't have we a whole load of framework taking up valuable space in our garage, but also, that we can remove the bed in literally 5 minutes if we ever need to (which was certainly helpful when we were constructing our overhead cabinets).

In this video we show you exactly how we came up with the concept, and how we built the bed... the great news, we not only have room enough for our toys underneath, but we can also sit up in the bed!
