The focal point of this project is the revitalisation of an hotel area in the north part of Ormož, Slovenia. It summarises the renovation of an abandoned hotel, an historicaly significant office building and the addition of a new spa resort.
The reborn hotel complex, enhanced with new content is going to yet again atract visitors which will bring new life into the city.
Also it will be an added economical value to the broader arrea.
The leading principle of the design was to preserve Ormožs local identity, in which the famous city architect Dušan Moškon left his mark. The goal was to keep the existing buildings in their original form as much as possible and add a new building nonintrusively, so it conforms with its environment. The biggest challenge was to incorporate all buildings into one functional complex in regard to the plot conditions. The hotel can be built in phases, which adds to its chance to be realised.
