A Chinese 13 x 40 lathe is shown, with segment on accessories, alignment, and performance.
The lathe is equipped with: steady rest; follow rest; quick change tool post; five quick change tool holders; original four position tool post; quick change gear box; three jaw chuck; face plate; auxiliary change gears; wrenches; tapered gibs; english graduations; two hp single phase motor; D1-4 spindle nose; MT3 tailstock; tailstock drill chuck.
Alignment check shows the three jaw chuck to be very accurately aligned with spindle (lathe axis of rotation). Alignment check shows tailstock to be very well aligned with spindle axis.
Performance check shows the lathe in operation and resulting surface finish when cutting steel with carbide tooling.
