What Angels Do at Mass (Most Catholics Don’t Know This)

• St. John Chrysostom spoke of countless angels filling the sanctuary.
• St. Padre Pio saw his guardian angel assisting him during Mass.
• St. Bridget of Sweden described angels bowing in radiant adoration at the elevation of the Host.

And your guardian angel is there too.

He kneels beside you. He offers your prayers to God. He rejoices when you receive Holy Communion. He worships with perfect reverence — even when we are distracted.

The next time you hear “Holy, Holy, Holy,” remember: you are joining the eternal hymn of heaven. When you kneel at Mass, you kneel with angels. When you gaze upon the raised Host, you adore alongside the heavenly host.

Mass is not just a gathering. It is a participation in the worship of eternity.
