According to police, the accused were producing counterfeit items of popular brands such as ghee, Eno, Veet and Tata Salt, packing them in branded packaging and selling them in the market. Further investigation is underway to trace the supply chain and identify others involved. Earlier this month, police had also busted a central module printing fake packaging for spurious medicines and cosmetics.
