Today we’re taking on Blackwing Descent, one of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm’s most intense raids. Nestled deep within Blackrock Mountain—the same volcanic fortress home to Molten Core and Blackwing Lair—this 10- and 25-player raid pits you against the might of the Black Dragonflight in fast-paced, mechanical-meets-dragonfire encounters.

Bosses You’ll Tackle:

Magmaw – Starts the raid with molten strikes and an ever-expanding lava jaw

Omnitron Defense System – A deadly duo of Elementium Terrorguard and Poison-slime–spewing Omnitron Defense units

Maloriak – Master of alchemy whose phases test your ability to dodge fire, frost, and arcane traps

Atramedes – Sound-based boss that punishes those who can’t handle the noise

Chimaeron – A two-phase brawler where healing and crowd control hit the ceiling

Nefarian – Final showdown against the black dragon lord, complete with adds, class calls, and legendary loot

Location: Entrance inside Blackrock Mountain, between the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj portal and Blackwing Lair in Searing Gorge / Burning Steppes border.
