I took the children for a short break to the 'Quiet Site' near Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. We were excited to stay in one of their camping pods! All manner of electronic devices came with us, including mobile phones and ipads, along with various USB rechargeable camping equipment so it was an ideal opportunity to test out the Bluetti AC180 solar power station.

This has a much larger capacity than other power banks that I have used so I was keen to see how it would perform for us during the trip. The addition of solar panels meant that we were able to keep it topped up if required (which it wasn't but we had a go anyway).

The camp site is very well run, with great amenities including a shop, clean and well equipped toilets, washrooms and kitchen and even an outdoor pizza place which does nice crepes and breakfast rolls of a morning. It was a pleasure as always to visit the quiet bar.

The kids had a great time and we spent the late evening watching movies in the cosy camping pod with our LED lanterns, all powered by the Bluetti AC180.

I will be releasing a short follow up video on the power station as these are becoming more popular and in my view, for good reason. The ability to provide high power application if required, whilst topped up for free by the sun is fantastic. My daughter has also used this one to dry her hair without issue - so it's certainly capable of powering those high demand appliances - stay tuned for the follow up video which will be released very soon.
