#ExploringWalk The Sungai Buloh Station is an integrated railway station serving Sungai Buloh, which is located to the north-west of Kuala Lumpur. The station was opened in December 2016.
It is an interchange station, with one section catering to the KTM Komuter Port Klang Line and KTM ETS services, and another section for the MRT Putrajaya Line.
The station has a total of 6 tracks and 3 platforms, of which 4 tracks and 2 platforms are serviced by KTM and the other 2 tracks and a platform is serviced by the MRT.

The station has a common elevated concourse shared by the MRT and the KTM. The concourse was constructed over the 4 KTM tracks.
The paid areas for both services however are not connected and there is no paid-area-to-paid-area integration. This is because the KTM and MRT use different ticketing systems.
The main entrance of the station is Entrance A which has escalators, stairs and lifts rising from at-grade level to the common concourse, serving both MRT and KTM users.
With the launched of MRT Putrajaya Line, Sungai Buloh Station provides an alternate transport route between Tanjung Malim and KL Sentral. Currently, during weekdays there are 7 direct trains from Tanjung Malim to KL Sentral per day, 6 trips in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
However, there are an additional 11 trips, 4 in the morning and 7 in the afternoon, from Tanjung Malim but all stopping at Sungai Buloh. Travelling time is 1 hour and 10 minutes. At Sungai Buloh Station, passengers could switch to MRT Putrajaya Line ( Sungai Buloh MRT Station ), then MRT Kajang Line ( Kwasa Damansara MRT Station ) and eventually LRT Kelana Jaya Line ( Pasar Seni LRT Station ) to arrive at KL Sentral.
Direct trains from Tanjung Malim to KL Sentral are taking 1 hour 45 minutes. The indirect trains involving interchanges with MRT and LRT are taking 1 hour 50 minutes.
Scenarios for the reverse journey, i.e. from KL Sentral to Tanjung Malim, are similar to the above. However, for direct trains from KL Sentral there is only 1 departure in the morning but 6 in the afternoon/evening. In addition, there are also 11 departures from Sungai Buloh to Tanjung Malim, 4 in the morning and 7 in the afternoon.
