Kevin Tucker, MD, uses the example of public education to illustrate how government policies can affect the social determinants of health for particular populations. Home ownership as a driver of intergenerational wealth is discussed and transportation and environmental policies are also linked to health outcomes. 
  
Dr. Tucker is the vice president of education for Mass General Brigham and an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. This video is part 4 in the 15-part series: Health Care Disparities.
