We'll tell you about Dusya, a Russian spaniel and a staff member at the Save Me Foundation's Wildlife and Bird Rehabilitation Center. She got lost in Kopeysk, was hit by a car, and suffered spinal injuries and bruised hind legs. Afterward, a kiosk vendor picked her up, but the woman couldn't keep her forever. Through mutual friends, she contacted the Save Me Foundation. At the time, Karen Dallakyan had just received the keys to the shelter and decided a security guard wouldn't be a problem. The doctor raised the red-haired beauty, and she's served him faithfully ever since. Dusya accompanies her rescuer to all his surgeries, guards the grounds, greets guests, catches mice, monitors predators, and talks down foxes when they start fighting among themselves. She's got a lot on her plate. A month ago, Dusya became a mother for the first time, and a mother of many. She gave birth to six black and white females (all like their father). But just three days after the difficult birth, she returned to work. The puppies have already opened their eyes, but Dusya continues to successfully balance motherhood and work. She even recently appeared in the stories of Chelyabinsk Region Governor Alexey Teksler. He posted a photo of himself lovingly petting her during his visit to our center. And remember the touching video of Dusya bringing Simba her sausage in her mouth to make him happy. The king of the beasts had just arrived at the center and was in great distress. Therefore, we have no doubt that she understands human language and is empathetic.
