Dr Andreja Bogdanovski is a Skopje-born, Edinburgh-based freelance journalist covering religion and politics – specialising in Orthodox affairs. His bylines include The Tablet, Church Times, Premier Christianity, Balkan Insight, and others. He has written extensively on the religious dimensions of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Andreja is also an experienced researcher and analyst specialising in global and European security. He holds a PhD from the University of Buckingham and a Master’s degree from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. His doctoral research focused on church independence movements in Ukraine, North Macedonia, and Montenegro.
