Motorizing the LEGO® Technic 42205 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray with BuWizz

Описание: Today, we motorize the LEGO® Technic 42205 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (2025) using BuWizz.

This small Technic model is normally not an ideal candidate for motorization, as space limitations require compromises. In this build, the fake engine and passenger seat had to be removed. However, this project serves a specific purpose.

This motorized version will be used as a competition category at the BuWizz Gathering. The category is designed for builders who prefer to build models strictly according to official instructions and may not feel confident designing their own MOCs. By providing motorization instructions, everyone competes on equal terms.

Motorization overview:
• BuWizz 3.0 mounted in place of the passenger seat
• Rear-wheel drive powered by a BuWizz motor via knob gears (no differential)
• Steering controlled by a Powered Up L motor
• Steering axle routed under the driver’s seat into the front steering rack

To improve drivetrain reliability, current to the drive motor was limited to prevent gear slipping. A reinforced axle solution was also implemented to improve durability.
